Our Place DC is a nonprofit organization that provides social services to presently and formerly incarcerated DC women. Any woman who is a DC resident and who has ever been involved with the criminal justice system is eligible for our services. Our Place DC has a Legal Services Division that is available to answer any legal questions a client might have and does provide direct representation in some cases. Our Place DC also provides other social services, such as employment advocacy; HIV/AIDS education, testing & counseling; clothing; assistance with obtaining birth certificates, ID's, police clearances & other documents; case management for substance abuse & mental health treatment and housing; and transitional housing.
