| Who We Are |
The Domestic Violence Intake Centers located at the D.C. Superior Court and at Greater Southeast Hospital have representatives from the Court, the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, Washington Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE), D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and the U.S. Attorney's Office. The Southeast center also has representatives from Legal Aid and Ramona's Way. Staff at the centers assist victims with filing petitions for temporary protection orders, civil protection orders, and any motions related to the orders including contempt violations. Staff also provide social service advice and guidance about the legal system and obtaining services.
