Multi-Door Dispute Resolution

Who We Are

The Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division (Multi-Door) helps parties settle disputes through mediation and other types of appropriate dispute resolution (ADR), including arbitration, case evaluation and conciliation.

The Family Mediation Program of the Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division is a free service offered from the DC Superior Court. Residents of the District of Columbia are eligible to receive this service. It is not required to file a case in court to use mediation services. A minimum of one party to the dispute must be a resident in order to qualify. The Family Mediation Program offers mediations during business hours and also Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and on Saturdays between 10 am - 2 pm.
