U.D.C. David A. Clarke School of Law Community Development Clinic

Law students, supervised by attorneys provide residents of the District with full representation or brief advice to help establish and operate businesses and/or acquire home ownership. In the business area assistance may involve advice on business structure; preparing articles of incorporation, bylaws, partnership agreements, and business contracts, advising clients regarding basic tax law, zoning, licensing requirements, and intellectual property. In the home ownership area assistance may involve advice on forms of home ownership and property rights.
