La Junta de la Reserva Federal y la Oficina de Supervisión de Entidades de Ahorro prepararon este folleto sobre hipotecas a tasa ajustable (ARM, por sus siglas en inglés para adjustable rate mortgage) a raíz de un pedido del Comité Central de Banca, Finanzas y Asuntos Urbanos (actualmente, el Comité de Servicios Financieros) y con el asesoramiento de muchas otras agencias y grupos de comercio y consumo.
