The Hawaii Centers for Independent Living (HCIL) is a non-profit organization operated by and for persons with disabilities, ensuring the rights of people with disabilities to live independently and fully integrated in the community. The establishment of HCIL is founded on the historical constitutional beliefs of civil rights, and the empowerment of people with disabilities to have equal access, opportunities, and choices in life.

This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Brief Advice- Brief advice and advocacy. Assistance with completing applications and appeals for public benefits and emergency financial assistance.
  Other- Housing services; Financial counseling; Outreach programs; Vocational and job skills training; One-on-one life skills training; Money management; Interpersonal skills training; and Goal planning.
