The HCAP Central District Office provides community planning and group development. Distributes federal surplus food. Also provides information and referral, personal development aid, emergency and general assistance. Operates special programs including agriculture education and training, employment services, family development and case management, Head Start, and senior community services employment.

Area(s) Served:  Honolulu
 
The HCAP Central District Office serves the area from Salt Lake Boulevard to Aiea, Pearl City, Waipahu, and Wahiawa. Some programs, such as the LIHEAP utility assistance program, are seasonal.

Income Guidelines: 

  Income eligibility will range from 100-150% of the poverty level depending on type of service provided.
 
Exceptions to income requirements will be made on an emergency basis.
 
 
Type of Help
This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Brief Advice- Brief advice and advocacy in the areas of public benefits and housing.
  Self-Help Materials
  Other- Emergency food assistance; Job skills training; Clothes closet; GED classes and preparation; Head Start Childcare Program; and Emergency utility assistance.
