| The Ywca of Kauai, founded in 1921 by Elsie Wilcox, has always striven to meet the diverse and changing needs of Kauai's women and families. Out mission, to encourage women of all ages, economic, social, ethnic and religious backgrounds to work together to create a climate of mutual support and to promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. The YWCA of Kauai serves the Kauai community throught the following programs: Family Violence Shelter, Alternatives to Violence Program, Sexual Assault Treatment Program and Crisis Support Program, Sexual Abuse Treatment Program, Sex Offender Treatment Program, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Camp Sloggett, and Women's Services. |
