Anyone with a legal problem in Louisiana is welcome to call the Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC), the help line for legal information. The LCJC does not assist with criminal matters and some services require screening for financial eligibility. The phone number is (504) 355-0970 or (800) 310-7029, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

From the site: If you are in a declared disaster area and are the victim of a disaster, you may be eligible for financial assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration - even if you don't own a business. As a homeowner, renter and/or personal-property owner, you may apply to the SBA for a loan to help you recover from a disaster.
