Agenda for Children works to make government work better for Louisiana’s children, keeping track of laws, policies, and decisions that affect children. This involves child protection, welfare, child care, health insurance and Medicaid, child support, education, juvenile justice, housing, and other public services. Agenda for Children also offers training, resource and referral services, information and technical assistance to individuals, families, organizations, service providers and the media.

The Louisiana Children’s Trust Fund is funded by state, federal and other money, and serves as a catalyst for child abuse and neglect prevention efforts in Louisiana. Among its responsibilities are the creation of the plan for prevention of child abuse, presentation of its annual review to the Governor and Legislature, and the funding of community-based child abuse and neglect programs to public and non-profit organizations through its grant process.
