AIDSLaw provides free legal services to low-income Louisiana residents (incomes below 400% of the federal poverty level) with an HIV and/or AIDS diagnosis. AIDSLaw provides: estate planning, notarial services, and family permanency planning services. AIDSLaw also assists with: debtor/creditor matters; public benefits; insurance/employee benefits; discrimination on the basis of HIV status in employment, housing and access to public accommodations; and issues of confidentiality and transmission liability.

How to Get Help
   Contact this group by calling for an appointment. Mon., Tues. Thurs. 9:00-12:30 at 2601 Tulane Avenue, Suite 430. On Wednesdays and Fridays only, at HIV outpatient clinic. Call main number to check availability of outpatient clinic intake.
 
Location: At the Tulane Avenue location, intake is on Mon., Tues. & Thurs. only, from 9-12:30. Call 504-568-1631 or 1-800-375-5035 beforehand if possible, but walk-ins are OK during listed intake hours.
Cross Streets: S. Cortez and S. Scott
Bring picture La. ID, proof of HIV/AIDS status, and income verification.
Intake is also taken by mail, e-mail to aidslaw@bellsouth.net, or you can walk in to the office. Monthly intake is also done at various AIDS service organizations.

Some exceptions for residents of Orleans Parish and certain other parishes, call for more information.
 
Other Requirements: For help, you must be:
  AIDS person
 
There are no fees for service.
