The Southern Migrant Legal Services (SMLS) office in Nashville is a project of Texas Rural Legal Aid, Inc. (TRLA).  SMLS provides free legal services in some employment-related and public benefits problems to low-income agricultural workers in Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.

What is an emergency?  An emergency is a situation where you need a court order right away to prevent or stop someone from harming you.
