Vernon Community Action Council (VCAC) is a private non-profit organization providing legal advocacy information and referral services, through its Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, to low-income persons in Vernon Parish.  Persons needing extended representation are referred to free lawyers for help.

  Legal Clinic on Representing Yourself- Every 3 months, on custody and visitation only.
  Self-Help Materials
  Other- Referrals to private attorneys and the Clerk of Court

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an emergency?  An emergency exists if there is an immediate crisis need.
