Persons living in the service area with cases pending in other areas can be referred to Legal Services in those areas, including out of state. Acceptance is determined by the Legal Services program receiving the referral.

Exceptions may be granted for individuals experiencing problems related to their home. Individuals over the age of 60 living in East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Madison, Richland, Tensas and Union parishes may be eligible services even if they are over the 125% income guidelines. Exceptions may be granted by the Executive Director, if client is very slightly over the limit.
Exceptions are also granted for victims of domestic violence.
