The U.S. Department of Justice has asked the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to staff a hotline to take reports of missing children, missing adults, and found children. If you are searching for someone who is missing or are caring for a child who is separated from his or her family, please call the Katrina/Rita Missing Persons Hotline at 1-888-544-5475. Anyone with a legal problem in Louisiana is welcome to call the Louisiana Civil Justice Center (LCJC), the help line for legal information. The LCJC does not assist with criminal matters and some services require screening for financial eligibility.
