Parental and Child Educational Requirements For Divorce

The Minnesota State Legislature requires all parents filing for divorce (dissolution of marriage) to attend an educational program. Hennepin County has developed a choice of three for parents who are not contesting visitation or custody and a mandatory combination of three classes for those who are unable to reach an agreement.
