 Housing

Do you know

that you can keep a service or support animal in most rental housing? This applies if you have a disability. Your disability can be physical or mental/emotional. Your landlord has to make "reasonable accomodations" for you. This means that your landlord must work with you to allow you to keep your animal. You will need to give your landlord a letter or prescription from your health or mental health provider. The letter or prescription needs to explain your need for a service or support animal.

For more information, please visit the Housing section of www.MontanaLawHelp.org. If you can't find the information you want, click on the LiveHelp button. Or call the Montana Legal Services Association HelpLine at 1 (800) 666-6899.
