Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity. The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Pittsboro Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in the six-county area surrounding Pittsboro, NC:
Alamance County Moore County
Chatham County Orange County
Lee County Richmond County

From Raleigh, take Hwy 64 West, to Business HWY 64 (Pittsboro exit). The office is on the right, immediately after a landscaping business. You will see a large sign--Platinum Commons, and there is parking in the front. From Chapel Hill or Sandford, take 15-501 to Pittsboro Courthouse (in roundabout). Enter roundabout and exit at HWY 64 East, go through the traffic light 1 1/2 blocks, past the Post Office on your right. The Office is on the left, directly across from YMCA and Pitt Stop.

In addition, we have montly intake at our site in Sanford and county outreach sites. Orange County: 1st Tuesday at the Chapel Hill Senior Center, Moore: 2nd Tuesday at Southern Pines, and 3rd Tuesday at Carthage. In addition monthly intake is planned to begin in Siler City by the end of the year. |
