Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.  

The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Raleigh Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in Wake County.

Languages Spoken  Spanish
Interpreters can be provided for: Whenever interpreters are needed, either in person or by phone, volunteers or paid interpreting services are utilized.
Wheelchair Accessible Y
Access for the deaf: Sign language interpreters are used for in-person communications and special telephone arrangements are made for telephone communications.
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

There are some limited exceptions. Please call the Legal Aid of NC office in Raleigh to see if you are eligible for our services.
