Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.   The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Greensboro Office  provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in the six-county area surrounding Durham, NC:

   Davidson County
   Guilford County
   Montgomery County
   Randolph County
   Rockingham County
   Rowan County

Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

There are limited exceptions. Please call the Legal Aid of North Carolina office in Greensboro to see if you are eligible for our services.

Clients are responsible for any bankruptcy court fees; all other court fees can be waived if they are eligible.
