Legal Aid of North Carolina - Sylva Office
Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) is a statewide, nonprofit law that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity. The legal staff of Legal Aid of NC - Sylva Office provides legal assistance in civil matters to eligible, low-income clients who have problems with their basic needs and live in the seven-county area surrounding Asheville, NC:
Cherokee County Jackson County Clay County Macon County Graham County Swain County Haywood County

The Sylva Office also serves eligible clients in the Qualla Indian Boundary, which is served through the "Cherokee Office" that is located on Cherokee Trust Land near Bryson City, NC.
Legal Aid of NC also provides a "Intake Site" office in Hayesville, NC, which is supported by the legal staff of the Sylva office.
