North Carolina Fair Housing Center

The NC Fair Housing Center (NCFHC):

  • Investigates allegations of illegal discrimination and provides legal assistance and advocacy to victims of discrimination.
  • Monitors suspect housing and lending organizations.
  • Provides community education on fair housing and lending.

The mission of NCFHC is to support and encourage equal opportunities in housing in the state of North Carolina.  To achieve this goal NCFHC investigates alleged violations of fair housing statutes; provides assistance to individuals pursuing legal rights and issues; promotes community involvement in fair housing issues and performs research and policy development in the area of fair housing.
