WHO WE ARE

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Law Association of Greater New York ("LeGaL") is a bar association of the LGBT legal community in the New York metropolitan area. The LeGaL Foundation, which conducts LeGaL's charitable and educational activities, operates a weekly walk-in referral clinic, at the LGBT Community Center (208 W. 13th St.) in Manhattan each Tuesday evening (excluding holidays) from 6-8pm. No appointment is necessary but visitors should arrive prior to 6pm and will be able to speak with a volunteer attorney for approximately 15 minutes. The Walk-In Clinic does not provide direct representation. The clinic is free but visitors are encouraged, if possible, to provide a donation of $5 to support the clinic's continued operation.
