South Brooklyn Legal Services provides legal representation, advice and referrals to low-income Brooklyn residents in areas including child care, consumer law, employment/unemployment, family law/domestic violence, foreclosure prevention, government benefits, HIV, housing, pension benefits, special education, SSI/disability rights, and tax.

We serve primarily southern and western Brooklyn, but also take cases from other areas of Brooklyn when legal help for homeowners is otherwise unavailable.

Languages for which interpreters can be provided: When a client requires language services (whether that need is articulated by the client in requesting language services, or determined by staff) an interpreter shall be provided to assist with all non-ministerial communications between the advocate and the client, including at hearings and other court appearances.
