| The HRLP provides advocacy and representation to homeless and unstably housed drug users and people struggling with addiction who face eviction or the loss of public assistance benefits because they have been arrested for a drug-related crime or because they are unable to comply with mandatory substance abuse treatment. The project also provides advice and advocacy when someone faces discrimination based on their history of drug use or thier status as someone recieving substance abuse treatment, including methadone; and when someone is arrested and charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument. |
