| Brooklyn Legal Services, Corporation A - Senior Anti-Eviction Project |
 |
 |
| |
| WHO WE ARE |
The Senior Anti-Eviction Project provides direct delivery of services through legal representation in Housing Court Proceedings and Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) matters primarily as well as through advocacy and advice on housing issues and on other related legal issues of concern to seniors.
As it is of utmost importance that seniors know their rights, community education of Senior Center personnel and of seniors in the northern and eastern sections of Brooklyn is carried out through presentations at senior centers and other locations in these areas. In addition, since seniors very often have mobility limitations, the project reaches out to seniors by holding intake interviews by appointment, as needed, at several senior centers. In addition, through trainings each year for the New York City Department of the Aging case workers, the Project provides educational outreach to varied organizations in all the boroughs of the city.
