| WHO WE ARE |
Bushwick Housing & Legal Assistance is a program, within the 30 year-old Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council, that has been helping tenants avoid eviction and obtain repairs in the Bushwick neighborhood for close to a decade. We have successfully represented clients in non-payments, holdovers, and HP proceedings in Housing Court as well as at NYCHA hearings.

Picture ID, Public Assistance Benefits Identification Card (if any), Social Security Card for every person in household, proof of income (if any), all court papers (past and present cases), all letters/notices from the landlord, all leases, all rent receipts, all notices and budget letters/printout from Public Assistance, Section 8 Vouchers or other subsidy program documentation, and all notices from HPD.

| What is an Emergency? If you have received a Marshal's Notice or you have already been evicted by the Marshal. |
| |
| Emergency Contact Information: Call 718 366 3800 if you have received a Marshal's notice. If you have already been evicted by the Marshal you can come into the office with all of your documents to see if someone in the office is available to talk you through the process of being allowed back into the apartment. |
