| WHO WE ARE |
The Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program (EFLRP) is a small legal program within a large non-profit organization, Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. EFLRP has two full-time attorneys and three paralegals. For the general public, EFLRP maintains an informational website at http://nyhealthaccess.org and operates a hotline for advice and information about access to Medicaid eligibility, Medicaid home care, long-term care, and prescription drug benefits. It provides limited direct legal services in public benefits to clients of Selfhelp's program in New York City, which include senior centers, case management programs, and senior housing. EFLRP also conducts professional Continuing Legal Education programs to teach advocacy techniques to legal and social services professionals in these areas.
