WHO WE ARE

It is the mission of the Legal Aid Bureau to provide quality legal representation and advice to persons in need residing in Erie County, New York.  The Bureau's Civil Legal Services Unit represents low-income individuals in a variety of civil matters that have a direct impact on their quality of life.

  Your family's income should be at or below 200.0% of the poverty level.

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  Court hearing, immediate eviction, sale date, service of summons.
 
Emergency Contact Information:  Walk in Monday & Wednesday 9 AM to 2:30 PM and phone intake Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
