Partnership for Children's Rights provides legal services for children under the age of 18 in special education and SSI disability matters.

  Callers should have all documents related to the case on hand, such as papers relating to the special education proceeding.
  You must be under 18 years old to receive help from this organization.

Area(s) Served:  Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island)
Languages Spoken:  Hebrew, German, Spanish, Dutch
Languages for which interpreters can be provided: Can arrange for interpreters for other languages.
Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 250.0% of the poverty level.

  Free legal services are provided to families with incomes less than $53,000.
 
Other Requirements: For help, you must be:
  Children under the age of 18.
 
Services are free of charge to anyone who cannot afford them.

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  A time sensitive proceeding or a child out of school.
 
Emergency Contact Information:  Call 212-683-7999 and the case will be immediately referred to an attorney and an appointment will be scheduled.
