WHO WE ARE

This office serves low income residents of Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton Counties.  We provide civil legal assistance, including advice, brief service, referral, community legal education and full representation in a number of different types of legal matters. We offer several special projects, including the Foreclosure Prevention Project, Disability Advocacy Project, Protection & Advocacy for the Developmentally Disabled and Mentally Ill, Emergency Shelter Grant Project and Domestic Violence Legal Assistance Project.  Applicants for services should contact the office for more information about these special projects.

This office serves Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton Counties. Warren and Washington Counties are also served for persons with developmental disabilities or mental illness.
Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

Generally 125% but higher income limits or no income limits depending on project of client.

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  Imminent loss of shelter; immediate court or pleading deadlines.
