Area(s) Served:  Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan)
 
This group provides assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in Manhattan or who are patients in hospitals or clinics in Manhattan, Brooklyn or the Bronx.
Languages Spoken:  Spanish
Languages for which interpreters can be provided: This group has staff members that can speak limited French. This group can also arrange for interpreters for any language on a long-term basis.

Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Access for the deaf: Can arrange for American Sign Language interpreters.
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

You may still qualify for assistance in exceptional circumstances if your income is up to 200% of the poverty level.
 
Other Requirements: For help, you must be:
  HIV positive
  or related to an HIV positive individual

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  Victims of domestic violence; persons just evicted or about to be evicted; recent removal of a child by child welfare authorities; future planning for a person's child if she/he is extremely ill.
