Nassau/ Suffolk Law Services is a non-profit, public interest law firm that provides free legal assistance in civil matters to low income and disabled Long Islanders. We are dedicated to the principle that our less advantaged neighbors should have access to quality legal assistance when they need it. We believe strongly in equal justice and know how important it is to the well being of our community that the legal rights of the poor are protected.

Emergency Instructions

| If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted. |

| What is an Emergency? 72 hour notice from Sheriff, illegal lock-out, utility shut-off. |
| |
| Emergency Contact Information: Clients with emergencies are seen or called back the same day in most instances.
Emergency callers should have all documents relating to eviction case with them so that our staff may adequately assess the legal issues given the emergency nature. |
