WHO WE ARE

The Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides comprehensive services that focus on the safety and well-being of victims of domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, dating vioence, elder abuse, and stalking. Our mission is to assist and empower victims of domestic violence and sexual assault while challenging and changing social systems that tolerate and perpetuate abuse.

Languages Spoken:  French, Spanish, Creole
Languages for which interpreters can be provided: We use Language Line and can communicate in all languages.
Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Access for the deaf: With advance notice the organization can provide a language interpreter from the Mill River School for the Deaf.
Income Guidelines: 

  
 
We serve all residents of Nassau County who are victims of domestic or dating violence, elder abuse, stalking, rape or sexual assault.
 
Other Requirements: For help, you must be:
  experiencing domestic violence
  Rape or sexual assault victim; we also serve members of the LBGTQ community.

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  In case of an emergency please call 911.
