WHO WE ARE

InMotion, Inc. provides legal services to low-income women in the five boroughs of NYC. They accept cases that deal with contested and uncontested divorce, orders of protection, custody/visitation, child and spousal support, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) self-petitions for immigration status, and U Nonimmigrant Status Petitions.

In order to receive services at the Queens Family Justice Center, a woman must be a survivor or victim of domestic violence, and must live in Queens or have suffered abuse in Queens.

HOW TO GET HELP
Choose ONE of the following ways to get help:
 
   To contact this group, CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT. Client appointments are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 12:30 PM.

Clients can come in to the center any day between 9 and 5 to set up a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday appointment
 
Location: NYC Family Justice Center, Queens at 126-02 82nd Avenue in Kew Gardens, NY 11415
Directions: We're located at the NYC Family Justice Center, on 82nd Avenue right off of Queens Boulevard. The nearest trains are the E and F to Union Turnpike; buses are the Q10 and Q60.

Languages Spoken:  French, Cantonese Chinese, Korean, Russian, Italian, Hebrew, Spanish, Creole
Languages for which interpreters can be provided: Onsite interpretation is also available for speakers of Romanian and Gallego. Phone interpretation to non-English speakers of more than 170 languages is available.

  Your family's income should be at or below 200.0% of the poverty level.

  This program does not serve prisoners
  You must be a woman who is a survivor or victim of domestic violence, who lives in Queens or suffered the abuse in Queens.

Emergency Instructions
If your problem is an emergency as described below, follow the contact instructions for emergency cases. Most offices are open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
 
What is an Emergency?  Survivors or victims of domestic violence who have been served with divorce papers or have a scheduled court appearance before the Thursday phone intake may or walk in weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for advice and brief services.
 
Emergency Contact Information:  InMotion's Queens office is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
