The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (Coalition) is a not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to eradicate domestic violence and to ensure the provision of effective and appropriate services to victims of domestic violence through community outreach, education, training, technical assistance and policy development. The Coalition's principles and practices prioritize the safety and concerns of women who are abused, provide support and encouragement for the participation of women who are abused in the struggle to eradicate personal and institutional violence against them, and provide for a non-competitive atmosphere that fosters open communication, respect, and cooperation among advocates and women who are abused.

Barrier Free Living's Domestic Violence Intervention Program provides non-residential services to disabled victims of domestic violence. The program offers clients short- and long-term domestic violence counseling and psychoeducation, case management services, advocacy within the medical, mental health, child welfare, law enforcement and criminal justice systems, and occupational therapy. In addition, the program maintains its own Domestic Violence crisis hotline at 212-533-4358 (voice) and 212-533-4632 (TTY).
Dwa Fanm - Haitians Against Violence at Home Project

Based in a confidential location in Brooklyn, Dwa Fanm tackles domestic violence from a women’s rights perspective, offering advocacy, a safe space, educational and preventive support groups and workshops for women at risk, battered women and survivors. Services include legal advocacy and direct assistance in getting orders of protection, child support, divorce and visitation petitions; individual, private counseling in English and Creole; resources to income maintenance, services and benefits; Creole language materials for family court and criminal court; accompaniment to the courts and to other service organizations; and modest emergency funds to those who qualify.
