New York Urban League - Fair Housing Counseling Project

The New York Urban League Fair Housing Counseling Program provides information and assistance to community residents living in Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Services include information and counseling on housing court procedures, unfair housing practices and housing discrimination. Fair Housing Counselors assist residents through mediation services between landlords and tenants and provide emergency housing services such as housing shelter referrals and assistance with pending evictions.
Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights The Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights (NMCIR) is a non-profit organization that educates, defends and protects the rights of immigrants. Recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals, NMCIR is committed to expanding access to legal immigration services, and participating in policy making and community organizing efforts.
NMCIR provides a variety of services to the immigrant community under the following issues: Family Reunification, Citizenship, Family Based Petitions, Deportation, and ESL.

Polish and Slavic Center

The Polish and Slavic Center (PSC) is a non-profit social and cultural services organization that primarily serves the Polish-American and Slavic-American community of New York and New Jersey. The Immigration and Legal Services Program in the Polish & Slavic Center consists of an attorney and well qualified paralegals with experience in immigration matters. The attorney offers free consultations and represents clients in both Immigration Offices and in courts. Paralegals are responsible for filling out all sorts of immigration applications, giving out information and translating documents. In addition, the program offers long-term and short-term courses (English language and American history) which prepare immigrants for the naturalization interview.
