The Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) of The Legal Aid Society provides free legal assistance to low-income taxpayers who have disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance. The LITC is a program of The Legal Aid Society, an independent non-profit organization and is not affiliated with any government tax agency.
