Welcome. The Northern Westchester Shelter is a private non-profit organization, which was founded in 1980 to provide a safe haven and caring services to survivors of domestic violence. Our programs are free, confidential and offered in English and Spanish.

Northern Westchester Shelter provides a 24-hour hotline at (888) 438-8700, a 16-bed shelter for victims of domestic violence, safety planning, counseling and support groups for women, men, teens and children, and legal assistance. Our skilled attorneys work with you to navigate the court system, to secure orders of protection and to help with child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, violations of orders of protection and civil legal matters related to or exacerbated by the abuse.
