Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS)
Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) identifies areas of civil legal need for poor people in New York City, develops programs to meet these needs, and recruits law firms and volunteer lawyers to do the legal work on a pro bono basis. VOLS does not provide direct services to individuals except through the VOLS Elderly Project serving the elderly poor in Manhattan.
