FoodChange's mission is to improve lives through education, nutrition and financial empowerment. Founded in 1980, FoodChange provides emergency meals to New York City's hungry children and adults. To enhance people's ability to buy food, we help them identify and secure the tax and income-supporting benefits to which they are legally entitled. And, through education, direct service and technical assistance we increase low-income people's nutrition knowledge and strive to make healthy eating a reality for all New Yorkers.

FoodChange's Clinic at the Food and Finance Center provides free tax representation, tax advice and referral to low-income taxpayers who have disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the New york State Department of Taxation and Finance.
