Manhattan Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office (CLARO)
The Manhattan Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office ("CLARO"), is a pro se advice only project sponsored by the New York City Bar Association and is staffed and run by the New York County Lawyers' Association and Fordham Law School. The CLARO volunteer lawyers respond to the needs of unrepresented debtors sued by their creditors in New York County Civil Court by advising litigants on self-representation strategies. CLARO is held every Thursday night in Room 105 of the New York County Civil Court and runs from 6pm-8pm. CLARO runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals coming to CLARO are requested to bring with them all relevant documents that pertain to their case. |
