Legal Aid Society - Community Development Project
The Legal Aid Society's Community Development Project operates as corporate counsel to grassroots community-based organizations, not-for-profit corporations, and low-income small businesses on issues including incorporation, tax exemption, charitable compliance, real estate, contracts, corporate governance and intellectual property. Upper Manhattan and the Bronx is the primary catchment area and screening is done Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., by calling 212-426-3000 and asking for the Community Development Project.
