Brooklyn Legal Services, Corporation A - Housing/Tenant Group Representation
Since the early 1970s, Brooklyn A's Group Representation team has worked with tenant organizers for Los Sures, St. Nick's and People's Firehouse to assist tenants in creating tenants associations, and supporting their struggles to resist abusive and negligent landlords, often leading to those very tenants taking control and ultimately ownership of their buildings. As a result, over 100 low income, tenant coops exist throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint. In addition to representing tenants associations, we also represent these tenant cooperatives. |
