The New York City Department for the Aging will hold monthly Medicare Orientation classes throughout 2009, at 2 Lafayette Street (15th Floor), Manhattan. The Orientation is a comprehensive overview of the Medicare program, including information on Medicare Part A and Part B, Medigap insurance, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and the Medicare Savings Programs.
The classes are geared toward people new to Medicare and their caregivers but everyone is welcome. Professionals including social workers and case managers attend the Orientation as well.
April - June 2009 schedule: Space is very limited so advance registration is required. (E-mail or call to register.) Light refreshments are provided.
