ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The mission of Neighborhood Legal Services Association is meeting the civil legal needs of the poor and vulnerable in our community through effective legal representation and education.

This office of Neighborhood Legal Services provides free legal representation to eligible clients in Allegheny County.

  Clients for the Elder Law Project Program may register for service at Senior Centers. Clients for the Protection from Abuse Program may register for service at Family Court.
 
 
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT SERVICE:
 
Counties served by this office:  Allegheny
Interpreters can be provided: Interpreters will be provided as needed for client interviews and for representation in court or at hearings.
Wheelchair accessible? Y
Other accomodations: Services for the deaf include TDX plus interpreters for signing.
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 125.0% of the poverty level.

  Asset limits vary according to family size.
 
Elderly Law and Protection from Abuse Programs have no income and asset limits.
 
Other eligibility requirements:
  This program does not serve prisoners
 
Clients are responsible for court fees if not waived by In Forma Pauperis Petitions.
