MDLC receives federal funds for:

The Client Assistance Project (CAP) - Advocacy for persons with disabilities who are having problems with agencies funded under the Rehabilitation Act (for example, State Services for the Blind, Rehabilitation Services)

Protection and Advocacy for Assistive Technology (PAAT) - Advocacy for persons with disabilities who need legal advocacy due to problems with assistive technology devices or services

Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security (PABSS)  Advocacy for persons with disabilities who are Social Security beneficiaries (SSI and/or SSDI) and who need legal assitance to overcome barriers to obtaining or regaining employment.

Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PADD) - Advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities on issues related to their disabilities.

Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) - Advocacy for persons with mental illness, with service priority for persons residing in care or treatment facilities.

Protection and Advocacy of Individual Rights - Advocacy for persons with disabilities and issues not covered by PADD, PAIMI or CAP, and who need assistance with legal problems related to their disabilities.

Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Traumatic Brain Injury (PATBI) - Advocacy for persons whose disabilities arise from a traumatic brain injury.

Protection and Advocacy - Help America Vote Act  (PAVA) - Assistance, education and training to promote the participation of individuals with disabilities in the electoral process.
