Sites:  Van Nuys, Pomona, and Palmdale Courthouses

 

Areas of Law:  Family Law, Landlord-Tenant, Small Claims, and other Civil Matters. No Criminal Law.

 

Volunteers Needed: Attorneys, paralegals, law students, college students and retirees. No legal background required. Training  provided.

 

Volunteer Opportunities:  Hands-on experience assisting unrepresented litigants with completing Court Forms. Volunteers work directly with people, providing information and guidance. Attorney supervised.  Volunteer opportunities offered during normal business hours.

 

Evening/Weekend Opportunities:  Self Help Workers' Rights Clinic, assisting individuals with Wage Claims, Overtime, and other employment-related issues.
Saturdays 9am-Noon at LA Mission College in Sylmar, 13356 Eldridge Avenue, Sylmar.
