Southeast Louisiana Legal Services is an equal opportunity employer. |
Background
Southeast Louisiana Legal Services is a nonprofit civil legal aid program that represents low-income persons in Southeast Louisiana in landlord-tenant, federally subsidized housing, consumer, family, income security, employment, health care, tax, probate and education cases. We help the poor with individual and law reform cases and believe in a multi-faceted approach to advocacy for our clients.
Currently, we have 40 attorneys working at 4 offices in Southeast Louisiana. About half of our attorneys have more than 10 years experience--mostly in poverty or public interest law. We also have many recent law school graduates who have joined us since Hurricane Katrina, who were outstanding leaders in law school and are active in our local legal communities.
