Who We Are

Housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or disability. This is a project of the Austin Tenants' Council which provides assistance with telephone and in-house counseling, mediation, tenant information network and lease packets. Representation available in certain cases but only in Travis County.

Mission Statement- To ensure that everyone has a right to safe, decent, affordable housing

This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Full Legal Representation
  Brief Advice- Telephone counseling (512) 474-1961
  Self-Help Materials- Brochures, pamphlets, packets on federal and state housing law and rights
  Other- Public workshops covering topics like landlord/tenant issues, security deposits, fair housing issues, etc.
